As the birthplace of the Rio Conventions and the host of COP30, Brazil offers a symbolic and strategic venue to advance our shared goals of tackling land degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate change through coordinated action.This event will bring together COP Presidencies, countries, and partners to strengthen collaboration and accelerate the implementation of the Rio Conventions through integrated, cross-sectoral approaches. This webinar is organized by UNCCD's Community of Learning and Practice on Drought Management - Africa. The event will convene experts, practitioners, and youth leaders to explore innovative solutions in water and soil management, community-based restoration, and the use of advanced technologies and remote sensing to monitor and mitigate drought impacts across the continent.
