Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.

We have a 120-square-meter community nursery in Maiquetía, La Guaira state, Venezuela. It is intended for the recovery of native species from the northern slope of Waraira Repano Park. We also have a prototype flat micro-greenhouse made of shade cloth and galvanized steel. The average dimensions are 3 m x 2 m x 2 m. It has an aquaponics system specialized in high-altitude crops. It includes a fish pond, vertical towers covered with 100% PVC, ergonomic hooks, a pump and a filtration system.
Main themes include climate change and the youth, youth empowerment and participation as well as income generating activities among youths. YASDO puts more efforts in environment management by involving themselves in tree planting and awareness campaigns on climate change. we also help and encourage youths to adopt climate smart technologies when doing agricultural activities. we also support youths and women to take leadership roles in their societies.
Matter of Trust Chile develops circular solutions to combat desertification, land degradation, and water scarcity. We recycle human hair into Agropelo, a biodegradable mulch that saves irrigation water and restores soils; Fertipelo, a natural biofertilizer; and Petropelo, oil-absorbent tools. By engaging farmers, communities, and salons, we foster local action to regenerate degraded land, strengthen drought resilience, and reduce pollution through low-cost, nature-based innovations.
Our organisation focuses on reforestation of degraded land and rainforest restoration in Sumatra through planting native species, seedling nurseries, and community-based agroforestry. We support sustainable land management, biodiversity conservation, and capacity building by providing training, tools, bore water, housing, and infrastructure for local communities, while collaborating with NGOs and authorities to monitor forests and prevent illegal logging.
