Civil society organizations
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.

RESOLVE principally forges sustainable solutions to critical social, health, and environmental challenges by creating innovative partnerships where they are least likely.
The Finck Foundation, based in one of the driest areas of Germany just outside Berlin promotes research, education and nature conservancy and is one of Europes largest private living labs for regenerative agriculture and forestry. On 3,000 hectares the Foundation tests methods such as agroforestry, holistic grazing and composting. Its goal is to study the ecological, economic, and social impacts of sustainable land use, share knowledge, and support the transition towards a healthy future.
Sama Al-Ebtikar Foundation for Sustainable Development focuses on sustainable land management and combating desertification by promoting climate-smart agriculture, drip irrigation, and renewable energy in rural areas. Our activities include environmental awareness, community empowerment, and development projects that support land restoration and enhance food security.
Desert Leaves Fundación is a Spain-based non-profit organization dedicated to restoring drylands and combating land degradation through community-led reforestation and sustainable land management. Our mission supports the core objectives of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), particularly in promoting land degradation neutrality (LDN), sustainable livelihoods, and climate resilience.
Green Camel Bell focuses on combating desertification, promoting sustainable land management, and enhancing community resilience in arid regions of western China. Our work includes environmental education, grassroots action, ecological agriculture, renewable energy, and policy advocacy to support the goals of the UNCCD.
Our organization focuses on bridging the gap between science, data, and policy to enhance drought resilience globally. Through the International Drought Resilience Observatory (IDRO), an AI-powered data platform, we aim to provide decision-makers with a single portal for analyzing and visualizing key drought resilience indicators. This tool will empower proactive drought management by integrating data from various sources and presenting immersive visualizations, aiding in effective decision-making at national and subnational levels.
Make It Greener is committed to promoting environmental protection through sustainable land management, soil and water conservation, and biodiversity restoration. We educate communities on climate-smart agriculture and advocate for responsible resource use policies. By partnering with local communities, institutions, and government agencies, we foster collaboration to combat land degradation and contribute to achieving land degradation neutrality in line with UNCCD goals.
