Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
SSLLP advances sustainable land management and climate-resilient agriculture through integrated crop-livestock systems. We empower women and youth, restore degraded soils, and enhance food and water security in vulnerable rural communities. Our work promotes equity, ecosystem health, and long-term land stewardship across Malawi.
The Environment and Agroforestry Foundation promotes land restoration, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable livelihoods through agroforestry, reforestation, and climate-smart agriculture. EAF works with local communities to restore degraded lands, protect riparian ecosystems, and build resilience to drought, aligning with the UNCCD’s goal of achieving land degradation neutrality

To strengthen vulnerable groups’ resilience for food security and livelihoods through general food distribution, support Agriculture development other income-generating activities (IGAs) in Africa. 2. To build resilience and mitigate the impact of climate change through advocacy, education and empowerment in Africa. 3. Rebuilding Pastoralist Livelihoods Organization (REPAL) works with pastoralist and Indigenous communities in northern Kenya to restore degraded rangelands and forests, combat desertification, and promote sustainable land management. Through climate-smart agriculture, water conservation, and community-led restoration, REPAL integrates traditional knowledge with innovative practices to build resilient ecosystems and livelihoods
FPCD's main objectives are; 1) To train and build the capacities of forest resource owners so they are able to manage and develop their own forest resources; 2) To establish models of good practices in the various aspects of forestry work as a showcase; and, 3) To promote and advocate good forestry practices at national, regional and international levels.
AICRO-Uganda empowers vulnerable communities in Uganda through climate-resilient agriculture, poverty alleviation, and local capacity building. Established in 2014, we focus on sustainable land management, food security, water & sanitation, and gender inclusion. We work primarily in Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda, addressing desertification challenges through community-based solutions and youth empowerment programs.
