Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
El Grupo Scout 167 “Jesús María” – Asociación Civil Agua Mansa promueve la educación no formal de más de 200 jóvenes mediante actividades en el Campo Scout Agua Mansa. Realiza campamentos y programas semanales que integran convivencia, respeto por la naturaleza y acción comunitaria. Desarrolla proyectos de forestación con especies nativas, limpieza de sierras y ríos, y uso sostenible de recursos, formando ciudadanos comprometidos con el ambiente y su comunidad.
CADID ONG œuvre pour la gestion durable des terres, la restauration des écosystèmes fragiles et l’atténuation des changements climatiques. Ses objectifs : renforcer la résilience des communautés, assurer la sécurité alimentaire, protéger la biodiversité et réduire la pauvreté rurale. Ses activités incluent agroécologie, biogaz, fours écologiques, sensibilisation et renforcement de capacités.
The Yacumadre Corporation works to protect and regenerate ecosystems through reforestation, permaculture, and organic farming. Our objectives include restoring degraded land, protecting water sources, and promoting sustainable alternatives for rural communities. Our key activities are environmental education, agroecological projects, and community ecotourism.

Activités : Construction des ouvrages HEA, valorisation des DSM, reboisement, sensibilisation et formation, accompagnement des agriculteurs et maraichers en agroécologie, opérations de salubrité publique.
Society for Education, Environment and Development (SEED) is an indigenous, not for profit and secular organization initiated and established by development minded individuals. SEED aims to support local development actions to fight poverty through a holistic approach that addresses economic, social and environmental dimensions of development. Central to SEED’s intervention are environmental sustainability and creation of human resources capital that can play transformative roles in development.
Atunlo Green Earth Foundation restores degraded land and prevents new degradation by retrieving plastic waste and converting it into soil-building inputs. Through evidence-based soil restoration, community education, and circular-economy innovation, we combat desertification, enhance soil fertility and water retention, and build climate-resilient livelihoods for farmers, women, and youth across Nigeria.
Rural Development Fund (RDF) is a Kyrgyz non-profit organization established in 2003 that conducts applied research and implements projects on land governance, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable rural development. RDF is one of the main CSO partners of the focal point for UNCCD in Kyrgyzstan - Ministry of Natural resources, responsible for implementation of Nagoya Protocol and Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
The Wildlife and Nature Protection Society seeks to preserve the rich natural heritage of the country through conservation of biodiversity and restoration of degraded habitats.
CLIP Poverty organisation's empowers local communities, especially youth, women, and smallholder farmers, to act as stewards of their environment through land restoration, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental education. We rehabilitate degraded agricultural lands, promote sustainable land use, and foster community-driven solutions. Our belief is that lasting restoration must be owned by those who depend directly on the land for survival.
SEED is a small international NGO specializing in community-led and community-based approaches, aimed at empowering local stakeholders and supporting the capacity building of civil society organizations. In Senegal, SEED has been working since 2018 to empower communities to defend their environmental rights, restore fragile ecosystems, and promote sustainable development rooted in local action.
