Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
IT KOLA promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and social inclusion in Cameroon, focusing on agribusiness, clean energy, and education since 2014.
CAEP promotes agroecology and sustainable land restoration in Cameroon. Through agroforestry, farmer field schools, and integrated farming systems, we support smallholder farmers, women, and youth to regenerate degraded soils, improve food security, and conserve biodiversity, fully aligning with UNCCD’s mission of land degradation neutrality.
Abordamos la vulnerabilidad Social y Ambiental en distintos territorios, junto a alianzas sinérgicas y aportando a la restauración de las personas poniendo en valor su experiencia y capacidad de resiliencia, y de los ecosistemas mejorando las condiciones ecológicas que permitan ser sostenibles en el tiempo, junto a sus comunidades. Con mujeres adultas mayores y personas privadas de libertad propagamos miles de árboles nativos y aportamos a proyectos de restauración de distintos territorios.
Coopera Flora Azul focuses on environmental education and sustainable actions in the Caatinga region, engaging communities in reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and awareness campaigns. Our initiatives aim to restore native flora, promote climate resilience, and empower local populations to protect ecosystems, contributing directly to UNCCD goals of land restoration and sustainable land management.
Madagasikara Voakajy works with local communities to reverse the decline of endemic species through applied research, restoration of degraded habitats, and community engagement and valorization of natural resource management. We support the management of protected areas, strengthen local governance, and develop sustainable value chains such as baobab fruit, aligning conservation with improved livelihoods and UNCCD goals on land restoration, resilience, and sustainability.
TSC combats desertification by promoting Sustainable Land Management (SLM) to restore ecosystems and secure threatened species habitats. Our core activities include community-based natural resource management, large-scale reforestation with native species, and sustainable agroforestry. These initiatives enhance soil health, prevent degradation, boost food security, and build climate resilience for vulnerable communities, directly contributing to Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN).

The Water Fund for Lima and Callao – Aquafondo works to ensure water security and climate change adaptation by restoring high-Andean ecosystems and protecting the water sources that supply millions of people. Our projects implement nature-based solutions and natural infrastructure, combining scientific evidence, ancestral practices, and community governance to strengthen resilient communities in the face of the climate crisis.
