Registration
- Pre-registration to COP17 opens on 1 May 2026 via the link https://indico.un.org/e/unccd-cop17.
- A brief guide containing instructions to assist participants with the process of registering online is available at https://indicohelp.unog.ch/faq/accout-questions/.
- To facilitate verification of requests for registration at the conference, all participants are required to upload a copy of their national passport and an official nomination letter confirming their capacity to attend the COP17 sessions.
- Participants are also required to upload a standard passport photo to accelerate on-site registration and badge collection.
- Once the request for online registration has been cleared, the UNCCD secretariat will validate and send a confirmation of registration and visa application support letter for COP17 to the participants by email.
Visa
- Participants requiring visas must apply online https://isf.mn/en/service/visa-permit/cop17 by filling-up the visa application form and uploading a scanned copy of a facial photo, their passport bio-data page and confirmation of registration and visa application support letter for COP17.

Accommodation
- Participants may book their accommodation directly to the list of official hotels provided by the host country.
