Pragyan Raj Pokhrel

Pragyan Raj Pokhrel is Senior Programme Officer for Forest and Grasslands at IUCN with more than a decade of experience at the intersection of community-based conservation, land degradation and sustainable forest management.

At IUCN he leads the design and implementation of multi-country programmes on forest landscape restoration, drylands management and ecosystem resilience. He has managed large-scale initiatives supported by climate funds and bilateral donors and has worked across Africa, Asia and Latin America to strengthen local institutions, improve land-use practices and scale up nature-based solutions.
