Mr. Cheikh Tidiane Touré, of Mauritanian nationality, has since January 2021 assumed the functions of Regional Liaison Officer for Africa (Annex I) whose office is based in Rabat (Morocco) covering the 54 countries of the African continent. Mr. Touré has more than twenty years of experience in the field of international cooperation for development and on issues of human security, particularly in Africa. He has developed a solid expertise in multilateral negotiations to support the challenges of peacebuilding and lasting partnerships. Mr. Touré holds a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) from Paul Valery University (Montpellier III) and obtained a diploma in post-graduate diplomatic studies from the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris (France). He is currently the Regional Liaison Officer for Africa of the UNCCD.
