AWF restores degraded lands across eight states of India through community-led afforestation, soil conservation, and water body creation. Jharkhand, with 68.78% of its area undergoing land degradation, is India's most desertification-affected state. Working with indigenous communities, AWF integrates land rehabilitation with sustainable livelihoods, reducing erosion, improving water tables, and reversing land degradation through nature-based solutions, aligned with India's LDN targets.
