Encourages local populations to use mountain resources in a multifunctional and sustainable manner. Promotes the development and sales of products elaborated in semi-arid mountain regions of Kyrgyzstan. Provides assistance to communities in the decision-making process in the field of environmental protection. Implements information campaigns and activities directed to drawing attention to the problems of mountain rural semi-arid regions. Organizes cultural, educational and scientific activities. Implements, with the assistance of a German Agency for International Development (GTZ)/UNCCD project, a project for the implementation of the UNCCD in Kyrgyzstan within the framework of sustainable village development.
