Focuses its activities on international cooperation and education for development, particularly on_x000D_ the Millennium Development Goals and their relation with the environment and the reduction of_x000D_ poverty. Carries out campaigns on climate change and the fight against poverty. Implements_x000D_ programmes of sensitization and education about sustainable development and environmental_x000D_ protection of the Mediterranean region. Organizes seminars on issues relating to desertification_x000D_ and poverty. Promotes the involvement of volunteers in development projects, international_x000D_ cooperation, and local and regional development. Strengthens the capacities of vulnerable_x000D_ people, so as to enable them to identify and defend their rights and to participate in the decisiontaking_x000D_ process. Promotes gender equality and the important role of women in sustainable_x000D_ development and the protection of the environment.
