Instituto Socioambiental da Bacia do Alto Paraguai SOS Pantanal
Description
The SOS Pantanal Institute conserves the world’s largest continental wetland, linked to the Cerrado, the “water tank” of the Pantanal. With 61% of Brazil’s 2023 deforestation in the Cerrado, SOS Pantanal advances ecological restoration in springs and Indigenous lands, empowering women and youth and promoting dialogue. It also leads fire prevention, environmental education, technical-scientific support, social media outreach, and policy advocacy.
