NIRMAN

Description
NIRMAN is a not for profit organization, established in 1997, with footprint in 3 States (Odisha, Assam and Chhattisgarh of India), 14 districts, 45 blocks, and 2547 villages. We are working on the thematic areas of food system transformation through agroecology, landscape restoration and responses, and knowledge co-creation. It has facilitated vesting of Community Forest Resource (CFR) rights under the empowering legislation of “The Forest Rights Act, 2006” in favor of 156 tribal villages.
