Rainforest Concern
Description
Rainforest Concern was founded in 1993 and has protected over 2.3 million hectares of threatened natural habitat and biodiversity. The charity has long-term conservation projects in Latin America, India and Romania, including the protection of 3,000-hectares of tropical montane forest in the Tropical Andes biodiversity hotspot in NW Ecuador; 1,600-hectares of native araucaria forest in Chile; threatened rainforest corridors in Costa Rica, and the rewilding of former tea plantations in India.
