SAP-Nepal, since its establishment in 1985, works to alleviate poverty through grassroots intervention in agriculture and promotion of sustainable land management. SAP-Nepal has been effective implementing of UNCCD matters in Nepal since 2004 being a part of South-Asia regional program of GM/IFAD/NGO Extended Cooperation program implementing “South Asia Initiative for the Empowerment of Women Farmers through Community Exchange and Training Program” advancing sustainable land management.
