Promotes the construction of houses with alternative materials so_x000D_ as to reduce the number of trees cut for this purpose. Provides access to cooking gas to poor_x000D_ families with the aim of reducing dependence on wood. Assists the population of the villages to_x000D_ create self-help groups to seek alternative sources of income instead of obtaining immediate_x000D_ benefit from selling trees. Established a training centre to teach stall-feeding techniques to rural_x000D_ women and young people as new solutions against over-grazing. Implements reforestation_x000D_ programmes in areas prone to desertification.
