Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
OTVI heals trauma victims through counseling, advocacy, and community engagement. Having supported 8,500+ in Nigeria, we're expanding our holistic care to include eco-friendly hydroponic farming. This innovative initiative empowers program participants who lost livelihoods, fostering resilience and sustainable recovery while contributing to a healthier ecosystem. We seek UNCCD partnerships to scale our mission in Nigeria and across Africa.
People's Action For Rural Development Inc. was founded to create awareness, organize, and network indigenous people and communities to collectively find solutions to their problems. Three core development programmes have been promoted: 1) Community Peoples Capacity Building for Good Governance, 2) Sustainable Community Land & Forest Use Management Programme, and 3) Women's Micro- & Small Enterprises Development & Microfinance Programme (WMSED & MFP).
Sinal do Vale is an environmental NGO and UN Flagship biohub in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest advancing regenerative bioeconomy through ecosystem restoration (50+ ha restored, goal of 5,000 ha), regenerative food systems (women-led Madre Frutos enterprise), and community-based tourism (110 km Guanabara Trail). On its 200 ha campus, it trains 4,000+ learners, builds nurseries, restores biodiversity, and fosters global partnerships aligned with UNCCD goals.
Moving Windmills works in Malawi to advance community-led solutions in renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, and water access. Our programs include solar electrification of schools, irrigation and nutrition projects, youth innovation hubs, and women’s business initiatives. We aim to build resilience, restore ecosystems, and empower local communities to adapt to climate change.
OBHIZATRIK Foundation advances climate resilience, youth empowerment, and community development in vulnerable regions of Bangladesh. Its programs emphasize nature-based solutions, participatory governance, and inclusive training. Upcoming initiatives include erosion control, land restoration, and youth-led monitoring aligned with UNCCD goals for sustainable land management.

Nutrition and Food Security: Our focus is on improving nutrition and ensuring there are sustainable food systems. 3. Climate Change and Environment: The organization addresses community resilience to climate shocks through environmental conservation, reforestation, and sustainable use of natural resources.
Fundación Monte Alegre works on native forest restoration in the Espinal ecoregion of Argentina, engaging local communities in regenerative practices. Our aims are to restore biodiversity and cultural values, strengthen ecosystem services, and promote sustainable land management through education, multistakeholder approaches, participatory projects, and science-based monitoring.
Proyectar Sin Fronteras is a non-profit organization that works to empower rural and urban communities through agroecology, sustainable production, ecological restoration and responsible consumption, contributing to the resilience of vulnerable populations. PSF implements projects focusing on three areas: - Food security and agroecological production. - Environmental awareness and education for sustainability. - Strengthening short marketing channels and fair trade.

Promueve la inclusión social, derechos humanos y equidad de género mediante proyectos comunitarios, reforestación, apoyo a mujeres cabeza de hogar y construcciones ecológicas con materiales biodegradables. Su enfoque es fortalecer comunidades para un futuro justo y ambientalmente responsable.
