Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.
Ndalo Heritage Organisation promotes regenerative organic farming, soil restoration, and climate-smart agriculture to combat land degradation and food insecurity in Western Kenya. Our initiatives integrate sorghum value addition, agroforestry, and school nutrition programs, linking soil health with improved child and maternal nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, and resilience to climate change.

The Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (CIKS) is a non-profit trust that integrates ancient Indian knowledge with modern agricultural solutions, focusing on organic and sustainable farming to help small and marginal farmers in Tamil Nadu, India. We are distinguished by our work in preserving 171 traditional paddy varieties and our mission to create farming solutions that are both profitable and environmentally restorative. Fundación Argentina ASE is a non-profit organization in Argentina dedicated to environmental protection and sustainable ecosystem management. It develops projects on ecological restoration, afforestation and reforestation with native species, wildfire early-warning networks, and environmental education. Its “Restoration Returns 2025” project aims to restore degraded soils, strengthen community resilience, and create sustainable biological corridors.
The Nuwejaars River Nature Reserve is a non-profit company focused on managing, rehabilitating, conserving and developing the functioning of ecosystem processes and natural and cultural heritage in the Nuwejaars Wetlands Special Management Area, one of the biggest wetlands systems in South Africa. We focus on ecological restoration to combat land and wetlands degradation, to build resilience into this landscape and we engage local communities in nature-positive employment.
Aves Argentinas protects wild birds and their habitats through conservation, research, education, and outreach projects. It promotes the establishment of protected areas, such as urban reserves and national parks, encourages nature-based tourism, and fosters sustainable production practices to contribute to biodiversity conservation in Argentina.
Vozama's core business is the comprehensive development of rural children by improving their basic education and promoting their fundamental rights. All of Vozama's interventions are carried out with the aim of contributing to the fight against poverty in the country. Children and their well-being have always been at the heart of Vozama's work. As basic community needs evolve, Vozama's areas of intervention have expanded beyond education.
Impulso Verde Kuaspue is a French-Colombo NGO committed to ecosystem restoration in the Valle del Cauca and in the high Andean forest in Nariño in Colombia. Since 2016, we have been implementing reforestation activities working with a 19 nurseries network (70% of woman), planting over 1.5 million of trees. Since 2021, we have been developing dairy silvopastoral activities on private farms by planting native trees and shrubs selected with local actors.
ETO is an umbrella organization acting as a knowledge hub on sustainable organic agriculture. Main activities comprise of trainings, organization of meetings and development of training tools and documents for knowledge sharing. ETO carries out projects funded by Turkish or international funding organizations as UNDP, FAO (also a service provider) or EU. ETO's activities focus on one-health and promote climate-smart practices for resilience and enhancing biodiversity.
