Accredited CSO
The UNCCD COP recognizes that the involvement and participation of the civil society is vital to the successful implementation of this Convention. It therefore welcomes the contribution of CSOs, with particular regard to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to the official meetings of the UNCCD.
Representatives from CSOs that are accredited to the COP may directly participate in the UNCCD secretariat’s sessions. At these sessions CSOs are consulted on United Nation’s policy and programme matters. They also play key roles at major United Nations conferences as indispensable partners for efforts at the country level. Below are the current accredited CSO's to the Convention.

GGMRRC works on sustainable rangeland management, land degradation neutrality and climate-resilient pastoral livelihoods in Mongolia. Our activities include community-based rangeland monitoring, soil carbon and ecosystem health assessment, Responsible Nomads standard implementation, restoration planning, and value chain development to support sustainable land use and herder resilience.
Chongqing Renewable Energy Society (CRES) promotes renewable energy and low-carbon technologies relevant to UNCCD by strengthening drought resilience and sustainable land management. We support technology transfer, pilots and training for climate-smart agriculture and rural/mountain communities (solar water pumping/irrigation, efficient energy use, clean power for livelihoods). We convene partners for knowledge-sharing and youth/volunteer outreach.

Green Loop Foundation promotes sustainable land management aligned with UNCCD through ESG and sustainability driven initiatives. Our work advances ecosystem restoration, circular economy practices, capacity building, and multi stakeholder dialogue via platforms such as Sessions in the Loop and Botswana Sustainability Week, supporting responsible business conduct, policy engagement, and community resilience.
We support journalists, filmmakers and content creators covering the world’s most underreported stories. Our activities help communities and decision-makers make better choices, contributing to progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. We work with partners to design and execute bespoke training/mentoring programmes around a specific subject area or region. We have a particular focus on areas of climate change that are underreported, such as desertification and land degradation.
AHRA works on promoting environmental justice, sustainable community development, and the protection of vulnerable groups’ rights in Upper Egypt.
