Abdu Gasem ALSHARIF

Mr. Alsharif is the GD of General Environment Conventions and Climate Change Directorate. Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He hols BSc in Agriculture from King Saud University, Riyadh, and an MSc in Range Management from New Mexico University, USA. In the past he worked with UNEP as Programme Officer and Coordinator for the Subregional Action Programme of Combating Desertification in West Asia. In 2004, he was appointed Director-General of the Natural Resources Department of the Ministry of Agriculture in Saudi Arabia. In November 2010 he moved to Abu Dhabi as the Subregional Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Coordinator for the Gulf Cooperation Council States and Yemen and acted as FAO Representative in the United Arab Emirates.
