Jorge RODRIGUEZ ROMERO

Jorge is Chemical Engineer (Instituto Químico de Sarriá, Ramon Llull University, Barcelona), official on leave from the Spanish Ministry of the Environment and official of the European Commission, where since 2004 he has held various positions in the Directorate-General for Environment. In his current position as Head of Unit responsible for Global Environmental Cooperation and Multilateralism, he regularly represents the European Union in international meetings and negotiations on the environment such as the United Nations Environment Assembly, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species or the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
