Aliona Isac

Aliona holds a Master's degree in Environmental Protection and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the same field. With seven years of experience as a hydrologist, she has gained a deep understanding of the importance of mitigating drought impacts for the sustainability of life and ecosystems. Her contributions to national environmental strategies and plans include coordinating various projects and events. As the National Consultant for the Land Degradation Neutrality Target Setting Programme 2.0, Aliona leads the national working group for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. She is a member of the National Youth Council and serves as an Ambassador for the SDGs and the Black Sea.
