Despite numbering an estimated half a billion people worldwide, pastoralists and rangeland communities are frequently overlooked or neglected. They are often marginalized and lack a voice in decision-making processes that directly affect their lives and livelihoods. Many Eurasian countries are seeking to prioritize policies, land use planning and social safety nets that support rangeland health and the resilience of pastoralist communities.
