Work experience
My main research field is about gene expression and regulation in plant. In 2001,I am as a visiting scientist participate a project aboutn “Molecular approach to genetic control of somatic embryogenesis in conifers” in Canadian Forest Service-Atlantic Forestry Center. Now, as a leader of researcher group in Beijing forestry university, I am interesting in the regulation mechanism of 4CL gene family in lignin biosynthesis. We reported the ability of 4-coumarate:coenzyme A ligase promoter from Populus tomentosa (Pto4CL1p) to drive 4-coumarate:coenzyme A ligase gene and increased the lignin content in tobacco. And we also reported strategy to bidirectionalize the vascular-specific expression promoter in transgenic plants.
