Work experience
As a geoscientist I have more than 20 years of experience in researching the impact of geological composition on land degradation processes induced by natural and anthropogenic influences. The main focus of my research is influence of mineralogical and geochemical composition of bedrock on land degradation processes, particularly weathering processes. I have conduced both field and laboratory experiments on interaction between regolith of different environments (bare land, prairies, forests) and erosion processes. As a University professor I have taught courses: Environmental geology, Natural resources, Land degradation, Introduction to Environmental Management. During 2010-2011 I was a Mineral Resources Consultant for Ministry of Environment and Planning of Serbia for “National strategy of the sustainable use of natural resources”.
