Work experience
Took lead in plantation and non-timber forest producsts processing projects. Took part in developing socio-economic development projects for rural mountainous areas for Dien Bien and Back Can province. Took part in Partnership Programme Synthesis Group the 5 Million Hectare Reforestation Programme. Took Lead in the assessment of Programme for Forestrz (PROFOR) implementation in Gia Lai, Thua Thien Hue and Hoa Binh province. Played the key author's role in development of National Action Programme on UNCCD implementation in Vietnam, for the period 2006-2010 and the vision to 2020 and the UNCCD National Reports. Coordinated Development of Forest Sector Development Project of WB. Chaired studies on climate change and forestry, REDD+. After retiring from MARD in 2013, worked as independent consultant for developing UN-REDD Vietnam Programme Phase II, for Gender mainstreaming into national forest policies - Recoftc/FAO regional project, for developing national policy for reform of State Forest companies, and for forest co-management modality.
