Independent experts nominated by country party

After a ten year experience in the field of rural tourism project in France as private business, I was called to manage a training center for agroécology and alternative tourism in the north of Burkina Faso from 1984 to 1988. Agroecology was used as a good opportunity to increase fertility of the soil, to raise local production, to increase water conservation and structure of soil. The trainees were farmers and also employees of ministry of agriculture coming from different countrys in west Africa. Now several of them are involved in organic farming movements in Senegal, Burkina Faso and Benin. This experience help us to built an international center for agrécology and rural developpement in dry area of south of France (CIEPAD). The aim of the work was to train in environnement pedagogy and agroecology from the bottom up.
