Work experience
More than 20-year experience has been accumulated in numerical modeling and physical modeling for the fields of reservoir sedimentation, sediment management of hydro-projects, optimization between reservoir sedimentation and operation modes, degradation of riverbed below the dam, channel bed variation of alluvial rivers, deposition in approach channels, and sea bed variations in estuaries. Over 60 research projects have been finished, including the sediment management and river regulation in the Three Gorges Project on the Yangtze River, Sanmenxia Reservoir and Xiaolangdi Reservoir on the Yellow River. Independently developed several useful software to simulate 1-d and 2-d sediment problems in rivers, reservoirs, estuaries, and offshore zones.
