Work experience
I have research experience of about 13 years in the field of Hydrology. During this period I have gained quite a good field and practical experience of working on problems related to deserts._x000D_
During Ph.D. (Earth Sciences) I have worked on impact of climate and neotectonics on the evolutioin of soils and geomorphology in the Western Gangetic Plains of India. The study area included the part of arid Haryana, western UP and State of Delhi. During this study, I gained experience of studying physical, chemical and micromorphological characteristics ofthe soils._x000D_
I joined National Institute of Hydrology in 1987, since I am working on various aspects of hydrology including, hydrological investigations, environmental hydrology and groundwater hydrology. I have worked on various hydrological problems of the Thar Deserts of Rajasthan. In one of the studies the impact of irrigation on waterlogging in western Rajasthan was assessed through groundwater modelling. In another study, investigat
