Work experience
Prof. Li Wenhua served as the coordinator of a series of multi-disciplinary research programmes for basic and applied research at national and international level. He studied the structure, function and productivity of coniferous forest in China as well as in the Northern Hemisphere. Particular achievements have been worked out in study the high mountain ecosystems of the Xizang Plateau._x000D_
The monograph “China’s Nature Reserves” was the first book, which gave a systematical research and analysis on the protected areas in China. He summarized the rich experiences of the Chinese people in integrated farming system and grades them to agro-ecological engineering level. He organized and headed a number of ecosystem experimental stations in temperate forest region, in Tibetan plateau and subtropical region for development models of sustainable agriculture.
