Work experience
Since 1988, I have carried out research in desertification control and ecohydrology in Horqin Sandy Land in Inner-Mongolia, Bashang Area of Hebei Province, Tibet, Hexi Corridor region in Gansu Province, which from 1988 to 1990 participated in the Chinese Academy of Sciences project of desertification prevention of grassland in Inner-Mongolia. From 1991-1995 co-chaired the project of national Science and technology project titled Domenstration of Degraded land restoration in Bashangarea, Hebei. From 1996-2000, participated in the project titled shifting sand dune control in Tibet. From 2001 to 2005 Co-chair Chinese Academy of Sciences Project titled Water resourse-ecosystem-economics management in Heihe River Basin, Gansu Province, northern China. From 2006 to now, Chaired the key project of National Natural Science Foundation titled “Evapotranspiration of artificial oasis” in Middle reaches of Heihe River Basin.

Bachelor degree of Soil and Water Conservation in Northwestern Forestry College from 1983-1987; Master degree of Desert-ecology in Desert Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1991-1993; _x000D_
