Work experience
1. Participation in a project to classify the site types for reforestation in Loess Area in Shanxi Province, North China. 2. A quantitative research on the relationship between the spatial structure of black locust plantation and its functions, such as rainfall interception, decrease of kinetic energy of rainfall by canopy, water and soil conservation, etc. in the center of the Loess Plateau in Gansu Province, Northwest China. 3. A research on the hydrological functions of Moso-Bamboo (hyllostachys pubescens) plantation in terms of canopy interception, stem flow, infiltration, runoff generation on slopes and from watershed, the chemistry of rainfall and runoff in Jiangxi Province, South China. 4. A study on the impacts of climate change (mainly of drought and warming up) and of acid deposition on the chemical characters as well as some chemical processes in the strongly acidified soil of a Norway spruce plantation in Germany. 5. Many field surveys in the semiarid and arid zone
