Work experience
I have been responsible for the national key and "863" projects of "rice and the vegetation identification using SAR data", "forest information extraction on SAR data over hilly and mountainous terrain" and "the methodology of rice and cotton identification using spaceborne SAR data" since 1996. I was responsible for the national key project of "The study on spaceborne SAR applications to forestry" from 1991 to 1995. I participated in the national key projects of "the comprehensive inventory of shelter-forest using remote sensing data in "the Three North" of China during the period of 1986 to 1990. I worked in the Controlling Sand Department of the Forestry College of Inner Mongolia and joined the "sand controlling project" from 1982 to 1984. I am/was responsible for several cooperative projects with Japan, European Union, European Space Agency, etc. From May 1994 to May 1995 and January 1996 to August 1996, I worked on the TREES (Tropical Ecosystem Environment Observation by Sate
