Research interests include theory and technology of silviculture. Over the years, the main work focused on the research on the artificial forest of the Loess Plateau, including semi-arid vegetation root distribution characters and its water eco-environmental effects, artificial forest species root distribution and its effect on deep soil moisture, vegetation restoration and optimization in arid and semi-arid regions, the construction and health management of soil and water conservation forest. What’s more, we promoted rapid propagation technology of a series of new tress varieties with high-quality economy characters in several demonstration areas.
