Caroline King-Okumu
Caroline’s expertise includes work on institutional, policy and economic aspects of global environmental challenges. She has led a series of large applied projects and portfolios on land and water issues, including a Knowledge Management Initiative at the Global Environment Facility and several complex international projects in fragile areas of Africa and Asia with UN, CGIAR and other international partners. Her independent scientific and technical work is often interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary with a focus on land, water and climate-related issues in the global drylands, especially in Africa. She works with the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology on international development issues and business cases for the environment.
