Assists communities in the country and subregion in the conservation and sustainable development of the poor areas. Provides capacity-building and training to promote the preservation of traditional and indigenous knowledge and practices relevant to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and agro-biodiversity. Undertakes reforestation projects using species which include native species to curtail pressure on threatened habitats or conservation areas.
