Undertakes research on soil protection, sustainable management of water resources, application and dissemination of traditional techniques, safeguarding and enhancement of landscapes, environmental restoration, sustainable development, ecosystem protection, dissemination of know-how and capacity–building, and enhancement of world heritage and cultural identity. Organizes and coordinates the international expert meeting on traditional knowledge entitled “Climate change, desertification, environmental conflicts and migrations”.
