O’KANATA is a federally incorporated, Indigenous youth-led nonprofit organization advancing sustainable land management and climate resilience. Its initiatives address desertification, land degradation, and drought through eco-literacy, land-based education, and youth employment programs. By integrating traditional knowledge with evidence-based practices, O’KANATA strengthens community capacity and contributes directly to the objectives of the UNCCD.
