Work experience
I have about 20 years of experience in teaching, research and community engagement in environmental management. Key experiences have been in research and implementation of projects in natural resource management and adaptation to climate change. I have conducted studies on Agroecological solutions for resilient farming in West Africa (CIRAWA), funded by the European Union; Community-based integrated degraded area restoration project in Nandom Tanchara, funded by The Global Environment Fund: Small Grants Programme, and Improving livelihoods in landscapes in the Volta Basin through strengthening farmer-led approaches to ecosystem-based management funded by CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE) among others. I have a rich background in community-based resource management having served as a member in the Upper West Regional Environmental Management Committee established by the Environmental Protection Agency of Ghana, providing technical advice on environmental management issues. I have been teaching in the University for Development studies for 15years in areas related to environmental management and climate change.
