Work experience
I have over 18 years of research, and teaching, extension/community service and administrative experience at the university level. My research interests are in applied microeconomic analysis, economics of development, food and nutrition, rural livelihoods enhancement and issues of socio-economic development with emphasis on employment and inclusiveness, and environmental and resource conservation. Some major studies I have conducted are ‘Community development, market access and nutrition: evidence from Ghana’, ‘An impact evaluation of inoculant usage on farmer yields and farm incomes in Ghana’ and ‘A study on the contribution of riparian areas to food security and adaptation to climate variability and change in the Nandom District of Ghana’. I have consulted for various national and international organisations including the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the Ghana Ministry of Environment Science, Technology and Innovation/UNDP/Afforestation Fund.
