As a researcher in El Rawakeeb Drylands and Desertification Station (RDDRS), Environment and Natural Resources Researches Institute (ENRRI) I am responsible of water resources and irrigation researches in arid and semiarid areas. My activities include:_x000D_
- Modernization of irrigation systems such as canal lining and introduction of modern irrigation systems._x000D_
- Rainwater conservation such as water spreading and harvesting._x000D_
Researches on canal lining were on process including seepage measurement using local materials for canal lining as low-cost and the selection of the suitable lining placement techniques under the current economic situation. Current research activities include the development of the concrete pipes for water conveyance using local materials, and soil compaction and stabilization for canal lining.
