Manon Albagnac
Manon Albagnac is an agronomist with a 12 years professional experience in supporting CSOs. She joined the French association CARI in 2016 as a program manager on land and desertification issues. As such, she became familiar with the challenges faced by drylands population due to land degradation, especially in the Sahel, but also with the way national and international strategies and decision-maker address desertification issues. Since 2019, Manon Albagnac has been coordinating the ReSaD (Sahel Desertification Network), which brings together civil society organizations active in the combat against desertification in the Sahel. She supports ReSaD members in organizing civil society advocacy on land issues, and in taking part to negotiations in the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.
Manon Albagnac represented Western Europe and Other Groups in the UNCCD CSO panel for the biennium 2020-2021, then she was a member of the intergovernmental working group on the mid-term evaluation of the UNCCD 2018-2030 strategic framework.
She will be CSO observer in the UNCCD science-policy interface for the biennium 2025-2026.
