Pastoralism and knowledge systems

The event aims to open a dialogue between development cooperation actors, scientific institutions, international organizations, and African stakeholders to explore how Earth Observation (EO) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support pastoral resilience in a way that is inclusive, gender-responsive, and aligned with local priorities. Discussions will focus on drought monitoring, rangeland management, data governance, access, and responsible use, as well as promoting gender-responsive climate information services for pastoral communities.
