Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention

The Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) was established in 2001, as a subsidiary body to the Conference of Parties (COP).

Its goal is to assist the COP in regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention, including the national reporting process via the Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System (PRAIS).   

The twenty-second session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC22) to the UNCCD took place in December 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, alongside UNCCD COP16.

The twenty-third session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 23) of the UNCCD took place in December 2025, in Panama City, Panama.

The twenty-fourth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 24) will take place in August 2026, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, alongside UNCCD COP17.
