Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention

The Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) was established in 2001, as a subsidiary body to the Conference of Parties (COP).

Its goal is to assist the COP in regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention, including the national reporting process via the Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System (PRAIS).   

The twenty-second session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC22) to the UNCCD took place in December 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The twenty-third session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 23) of the UNCCD will be held from 1–5 December 2025 in Panama City, Panama.
